Do I own the store?
Yes. The store is in your own Shopify account, paid by you, in your name. The theme we build is installed in your account and stays there even if you cancel your care plan.
What do I need to send you?
A list of your products with prices (a spreadsheet, a flyer, or a typed list all work), product photos, and your logo if you have one. Phone photos are fine. If you don't have a logo, we can make a simple one for $99.
Which Shopify plan do I need, and what does it cost?
You need Basic or higher, because Shopify's Starter plan can't use custom themes. Shopify bills you directly and sets its own prices, so check shopify.com/ca/pricing for today's rates. Shopify often runs a low-cost trial for new stores, which usually covers your build time.
Do you handle GST/HST and PST?
We set up tax collection in Shopify for your province and the provinces you ship to, so checkout charges the right amount. Registering for and filing GST/HST and PST is still up to you or your accountant.
Can I sell only locally?
Yes. Local pickup only, local delivery only, Canada-wide shipping, or any mix. You can also ship to the US if you want to.
I already have a Shopify store. Can you redo it?
Yes. Same plans and prices. We build the new theme as a preview while your current store keeps selling, then switch over once you approve. Existing products are moved across, not re-typed.
What if I have more products than my plan covers?
Extra products are $2 each at build time. After launch, your care plan adds new products every month (5, 15 or 50 depending on plan).
Can I cancel the monthly care plan?
Yes, any time, with no fees. Your store keeps running on Shopify exactly as it is. You just make future changes yourself, or come back any time.
Can I edit the store myself too?
Yes. It's a standard Shopify store, so you can add products, change prices and edit pages in the Shopify admin whenever you like. The care plan is there so you don't have to.
